LRS Key Spouses Outstanding Contributions Recognized

Two 165th Airlift Wing Logistics Readiness Squadron Key Spouses received Volunteer Awards at the 2013 Georgia National Guard Family Readiness Conference. Judi Lenz, spouse of Master Sgt. Mark Lenz, won Volunteer of the Year (Air) for the state of Georgia and Mrs. Stacy Roberts, spouse of Senior Master Sgt. Dennis Roberts, received the Key Spouse Outstanding Service Award.

Mrs. Lenz and Mrs. Roberts efforts included assisting spouses prepare and cope with deployments and helping military families through hardships. The highlight of their accomplishments included working with U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program to provide toys to children of local families hit with hardships.

"In today's military our Airman and Soldiers are occasionally faced with considerable challenges and our Family Readiness program, in conjunction with the Key Spouses, play a significant role in remedying some of their issues at home and abroad.", said Chief Master Sgt. Reginald McPherson, 165th Logistics Readiness Squadron Superintendent.
