The 165th Airlift Wing, Georgia Air National Guard hosted the Spring 2013 Commander's Cup Golf Tournament at Lost Plantation Golf Course. Col. Rainer 'Speedy' Gomez, Air Commander, recognized distinguished guests during the opening ceremony while Sue Iacovone, tournament sponsor, and Chief Master Sgt. Roy Patterson picked door prize winners. Gomez started the outing by making the first drive at hole one.

The annual golf tournament raises funds that provide support for Air National Guardsmen during times of need and to subsidize unit morale events. The event also enables local businesses to interact with members of the Georgia Air National Guard while providing a venue for local representatives and retired members to keep abreast of current Air Guard activities.
