Airmen from the 117th Air Control Squadron, Georgia Air National Guard participated in the annual Savannah Bridge Run, Dec. 7, 2013 at Hutchinson Island in Savannah, Ga.

Unit members participated in both the 5K and 10K, which took them on a course across the Talmadge Memorial Bridge between Hutchinson Island and downtown Savannah. The bridge is 1.4 miles long and boasts a 5.5% grade.

Capt. Eli Grimm said about the race, "This may have been one of the more challenging 10Ks that I have run. Double Pump next year!"

The unit's participation helped raise $350 for the event. The proceeds from the race benefited the Nancy N. And J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion at St. Joseph's/Candler.
