U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Rainey Cannady, an aircrew flight equipment specialist with the 165th Operations Group, Georgia Air National Guard, poses for a photo in honor of Women’s History Month 2021 on Mar. 4, 2021 in Savannah, Ga. Aircrew flight equipment (AFE) Airmen play an important role in the overall mission of the 165th Airlift Wing because they are responsible for ensuring flight and safety equipment is in perfect working order and that crew members will have the supplies necessary for any situation that may arise while flying a mission. Cannady has been serving in AFE for 11 years and said her job is very fulfilling because she knows that she contributes to ensuring our aircrew are properly equipped with what they need to complete the mission safely.
